Threshold consists of 22 acrylic and oil pastel paintings on wood panel ranging in size from 24x48” to 48x72”. Completed in 2022, the series reflects themes of experimentation, failure, play, and renewal. Threshold grapples with a change of pace and deliberate disruption for the sake of play. The collection as a whole is an expression of practice through trial and error. We grow through the practice of shedding skin, making a mess, and coming back to the truth of who we are in unpredictable ways when we allow ourselves a lightness of being.
